What are Off-Peak Hours Charges (Elk Danger) (Snow/Black Ice Danger)?

Off-Peak Hours charges are transportation beginning or ending during evening hours. During the summer and winter months, Off-Peak refers to Elk Danger. The likelihood of hitting a wild animal during evening hours goes up over 90%. During the winter months, Off-Peak refers mainly to Snow and Black Ice Danger but there is still the added Elk Danger as well. Our most common call during winter months is to pick up passengers after they have slid off the highway to get a rental car. AREA WARNING!! Individuals NOT used to driving in Snow, Black Ice, or with Large Wild Game in the roadway should AVOID driving their personal and/or rented vehicle during evening hours in our area.
